Tony’s educational background includes a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University in Toronto. Tony started his career in 1978 at Canadair as a structures engineer involved the development of the CL600 Challenger. In 1981 he joined Dehavilland, working on the design of the Dash 8 – 100 wing structure. Becoming a contract engineer in 1983 he worked with companies such as Sikorsky, Messier-Dowty, Goodrich and Indal Technologies. At the later he was granted a patent for the development of a unique UAV landing system. In 1990 Tony joined TDM Technical Services as Director of the Aerospace Division. TDM is a company that provides contract engineers to aerospace companies such as Bombardier, Airbus, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, Rockwell and Boeing. Since 1991 he has been President of the company. Tony is a director and executive board member of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC) and a Director of the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC). He is a past president of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, (CASI). Additionally he is a Board member of the Ryerson Institute for Aerospace Design and Innovation (RIADI) and a member of the Advisory Committee for the Aerospace Faculty of Ryerson University. |
