The best way to get the workforce you want is to build it yourself!
In an effort to help more Ontario aerospace students enter our workforce, each year, the OAC funds six scholarships of $2,500 each to deserving students enrolled in Ontario post-secondary institutions for the 2025-2026 academic year.
From first year to postgraduate studies, all college & university aerospace programs qualify.
From aircraft manufacturing and innovation, to airport management and pilot training, careers in aerospace offer exciting professional opportunities. We need make sure our young people are aware of these opportunities and provide them
with
extra lift when they decide to pursue an aerospace career.
When school is out and it's time to find your career, having a healthy network of industry professionals can make all the difference. This is where an OAC Scholarship sets itself apart from other programs. Our winners are announced
at our annual Golf Tournament which brings together over 120 aerospace industry professionals from across Ontario. At this event, the winners are introduced to the board, representativbes from member companies, and other industry
decision makers. They are also invited to participate in other OAC events where they can meet even more people and gain expert-level insights on their industry.
inclusive & representative
As mentioned, the OAC Scholarship program is open to all Ontario Aerospace students from first year to postgraduate studies, as well as all college & university aerospace programs. The applications are evaluated
based on:
Academic activity and GPA
Focus on specific career pathway
Quality and relevance of reference letters
Passion and vision well communicated in cover letter
We do not favour one academic level or career pathway over any another. We understand that innovation in aerospace comes from a wide array of disciplines and professions. Additionally, of the six scholarships available, one scholarship
is reserved specifically for women. In 2025, this one was sponsored by Women in Aerospace, Canada - an ally of the OAC.
Help Build Your Future Workforce - Sponsor a Scholarship
The best way to get the workforce you want is to build it yourself. To that end, the OAC has designed the scholarship program to grow and evolve as needed. Last year was the first year that we offered 6 scholarships - up from 5
in previous years. At the award’s ceremony in 2025, our Scholarship Committee Chair Larry Fitzgerald challenged our members and stakeholders to get that number to 10! If your company is interested in directly supporting Ontario’s
future aerospace workforce, consider sponsoring a scholarship!
“As CEO of RAMPF Composite Solutions, I know the importance of a strong talent pipeline. In 2025, I was proud to announce that the OAC Scholarship Program, which used to award five scholarships, expanded
to include a sixth recipient. I'm challenging our industry to push that number to 10. Ontario’s future aerospace workforce is out there studying hard—let’s help more of them find their path to aerospace.”
