Dwayne Charette was appointed President of Airbus Helicopters Canada on August 1st 2019 in addition to his position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Charrette’s responsibility was expanded to include all facets of the helicopter business in Canada and he is the accountable executive for the Canadian helicopter business line in Canada. Mr. Charette began his career with Airbus Helicopters in 2003. He was appointed Director of Global Supply Chain & Manufacturing in 2011, a role that encompassed overall responsibility for the manufacturing and distribution of products produced within Canada and later included the harmonization of regional activities between manufacturing sites located in the Canada and the United States. During this time, he also led multiple work transfer packages throughout North America and Europe.
Prior to joining the aerospace industry, Mr. Charette held several positions with large OEMs within the automotive and appliance sector.
Mr. Charette is a graduate of the Ivey Executive Program (Western University) and holds the professional designation of Certified Supply Chain Management (CSCMP).
In addition to the OAC Mr. Charette also serves as a member of the advisory committee for the Niagara Region’s Economic Development Group. He previously served as a Director on the Board of the Niagara Industrial Association and a member of the advisory committee for Niagara College’s Advanced Manufacturing & Innovation Center.
