Mike McCarthy, President, MHI Canada 

Mike McCarthy was appointed President of MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. in April 2014.  As president, he is responsible for the manufacture and delivery of the Bombardier Challenger 350 Wing and Global Express Wing and Center Fuselage.   Mike is also tasked with leading the operation through its business transition with MHI Nagoya to establish MHI Canada as a world class major aerostructures supplier and strategic North American MHI aerospace manufacturing site.  In this role, Mike serves as Chairman of the MHI Canada Aerospace Board of Directors.

Mike began his career in the aerospace industry with McDonnell Douglas Canada in 1977 as a mechanic.  With a background in manufacturing, quality and lean principles, he held various positions with the company including Director, Operations through the merger with the Boeing Company in 1997.  Over the span of his career, Mike developed comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of the business.  He worked extensively on the MD-80/90, MD-11 and B717 projects.

Previous to becoming president at MHI Canada Aerospace, Inc. Mike held the position of Vice President Operations after joining the company in April 2013.
