Bryan Teed, President, Safran Landing Systems Canada Inc.

Safran Landing Systems Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of Safran Landing Systems SA (France), which itself is a wholly owned subsidiary of Safran SA (France), a company listed on the Paris CAC 40 (SAF). Safran is an international tier-1 supplier of systems and equipment in aerospace, defense and security.

Bryan began his career with the company, then Dowty Canada Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dowty Group (UK), as Assistant to the CFO, Dowty Aerospace North America with its headquarters located in Ajax, Ontario, having locations in the USA (California, Virginia and Washington State) and Canada (Ajax and Peterborough).

During Bryan’s 30 years with the company, Bryan has held a series of senior financial positions while accepting numerous relocation assignments to Montreal (Canada), Velizy (France) and Gloucester (UK) between 1990 and 2003.

In 2003, Bryan returned to Ajax as Vice President, Program Management – Regional and Business Jet Aircraft with responsibility for these global programs before returning to the role as Vice President, Finance for Messier-Dowty Inc. in 2006.

In January 2011, Bryan was appointed to the role of Acting President of Messier-Dowty Inc. and since April 2011, has been in the dual roles of President and Vice President, Finance with sites located in Ajax, Ontario and Mirabel, Quebec. As President, Bryan is part of the Safran Landing Systems Landing Gear division Executive Committee. In April 2013 Bryan was also appointed the Vice President Shared Services Canada, responsible for the development and implementation of shared services for Safran’s Canadian subsidiaries, reporting to the President, Safran USA, based in Dallas, Texas.

Bryan holds a Director position on the Boards of Safran Landing Systems Canada Inc, Safran Electronics & Defense Canada Inc, Safran Landing Systems USA LLP and the Ontario Aerospace Council. Bryan also sits on the Government Relations Committee for the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade.

Bryan is a graduate of the University of Waterloo (1984) with a Bachelor of Mathematics and the Queen’s School of Business (1997). Bryan is a Chartered Accountant (1985) and a Chartered Professional Accountant (2013).

In Bryan’s spare time he enjoys golf, travelling, reading fiction and spending time in the Muskoka’s lake district with his wife and three dogs. Bryan and his wife have raised three daughters.
