As the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC) prepares to accompany an important delegation of Ontario Aerospace Exporters to the Paris International Airshow, it is delighted to team up the CCC to promote the launch of the Ontario Aerospace, Space, Defence, UAV and MRO 2019 Capabilities Directory and of the Ontario Aerospace Dinner being held in Paris on June 16th.
“The Capabilities Directory is an extremely important tool to help Ontario aerospace companies spread the word on their distinct services, expertise, certification and capabilities,” says Moira Harvey, Executive Director of the OAC. The Directory is offered in both a print and electronic format and allows searches by “capabilities” such as Advanced Manufacturing, Avionics, Aircraft Engines, and Space Systems to name a few.
“Canadian aerospace is really varied,” says David Wheeler, CCC Aerospace Sector Director. “It’s full of companies of all different sizes with reputations for being competitive and innovative. Their services and products range across everything from maintenance and repair to complete aircraft and satellite systems.”
Ontario Aerospace Dinner in Paris
“We are delighted to have the CCC join us as a sponsor for the Ontario Aerospace Dinner,” says Harvey, “it is a perfect match to have the CCC engaging with our companies in Paris as the global aerospace community along with major foreign government delegations are present and ready to meet with our Canadian companies.” The OAC encourages its 200+ members to utilize the expertise of the CCC when seeking opportunities to sell to foreign governments.
The CCC is Canada’s government to government contracting organization. Through a G2G contracting approach, CCC positions qualified Canadian exporters to win international contracts with governments abroad while significantly reducing the risks associated with foreign procurement.
“Governments are massive organizations, and it’s not easy to navigate through their buying bureaucracies, particularly if you’re new to exporting and or expanding into a new market. I get the right people talking to each other, get deals done and solve problems along the way,” says Wheeler.
Exporters can take advantage of the experience, knowledge and specialists in the CCC so they can get to the right people—the ones that sign off on procurement decisions. What’s more is, foreign governments trust Canada as a reputable supplier of goods and services, and that alone often gives Canadian exporters an edge.
