Congrats to Bombardier on receiving Transport Canada type certification on the Global 7500 business jet (ICAO GL7T)

On Friday, 28 September 2018 – Bombardier received type approval from Transport Canada for its all-new Global 7500 aircraft, capping off a comprehensive certification program that included five test aircraft logging more than 2,700 flight test hours since 1st flight on 4 November 2016.

The Global 7500 aircraft is truly pioneering and establishes numerous unprecedented standards in business aviation:

  • Unsurpassed non-stop range of 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km / 8,861 sm).
  • Top speed of Mach 0.925, and a typical cruise speed of Mach 0.85.
  • Maximum operating altitude of 51,000 feet (15,545 m).
  • High performance wings engineered for maximum flexibility to deliver unprecedented stability and an exceptional smooth ride.
  • Landing distance (SL, ISA, typical) of only 2,520 feet (768 m).
  • Industry’s only business jet with four living spaces and a dedicated crew rest area for long-range missions.
  • Leading edge avionics including latest PBN capabilities such as WAAS/SBAS, LPV approach and RNAV; Vision flight deck with advanced fly-by-wire technology, HUD, EVS and SVS; mutliScan weather radar including windshear detection; and Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC).
  • Unsurpassed cabin connectivity featuring KA-band internet, innovative nice Touch cabin management system; full spectrum lighting; and Blu-ray, HDMI, Bluetooth and Wifi.
