GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association, is bringing a major industrial mission to Canada on March 2 and 3, 2020.
More than 50 French aerospace industrial companies have registered for this outward mission to further French-Canadian cooperation efforts.
This GIFAS trade mission is an industrial demonstration of this long-standing strategic partnership across the civilian, defense and space sectors.
During their mission on March 2 and 3, 2020, the delegation will make stops in Montreal and Toronto. Meetings are organized to bring together the sector's companies from both countries in Montreal and Toronto.
The major aviation and space players representing both civilian and defense business interests will be present – Airbus, Dassault Aviation, Safran, Thales, as well as about 45 subcontractors, suppliers, SMEs and equipment manufacturers.
The delegation is led by Mr. Eric Trappier, Chairman of GIFAS and Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, supported by eight members of the GIFAS board.
The Ontario Aerospace Council is working with GIFAS to organize the Toronto-leg of the mission which includes visits to MHI Aerospace Canada and De Havilland Aircraft of Canada along with a networking lunch at the Downsview Aerospace Innovation and Research Hub (DAIR).
